A Blessed Effort
More than a contest. A day for the Qur'an.
Masjid Al-Mumin welcomes participants and families for a focused day of recitation, memorization, and encouragement. Four divisions create a clear path for young beginners through advanced memorizers, with separate judging for brothers and sisters.

Entire Juz 'Amma — Juz 30 — for participants age seventeen and under.

Advanced memorization division covering the last five Ajza' of the Qur'an.

Competition Format
Respectful judging. Meaningful recognition.
The event is structured so brothers and sisters are judged separately, with dedicated judges for each side and over $4,000 in cash prizes awarded across the competition. First- and second-place winners receive prizes.
Separate DivisionsBrothers and sisters participate in separate judging arrangements.
Three JudgesThree judges for the brothers and three judges for the sisters.

A competition rooted in a living masjid.
Masjid Al-Mumin is one of the earliest masajid established in Los Angeles. The building dates to 1903 and was converted into a masjid in 1980. Today it remains a place of prayer, Islamic education, brotherhood, adult learning, community programs, and a weekend Islamic school for children.

Participant check-in begins at 10:00 AM. The Qur'an Competition begins at 11:00 AM.

Brothers and sisters proceed to their designated judging areas. Groups are called in order.

Beneficial Reminder & Closing
A brief reminder may be given to encourage the participants and attendees to remain connected to the Qur'an, seek beneficial knowledge, and continue upon obedience to Allah.
